Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, Magma Pouilly-Fumé is a true expression of the diverse soils of the estate located in the Loire Valley. The vineyards, averaging 30–40 years of age, enjoy a south-west exposure and are farmed with great respect for the environment and the local terroir. Vinification is entirely natural: fermentation is initiated by indigenous yeasts naturally present in the grape must. Rich and generous, this wine displays an intense straw-yellow color with silver highlights. The nose is fresh and focused on ripe white-fleshed fruit, while on the palate, ripe mango and pineapple fruit work in harmony with the wine’s distinctive minerality. It pairs perfectly with seafood, including oysters and truffles, as well as amberjack, sea bass, and cod. It is also excellent with white meats such as rabbit—particularly Ligurian-style rabbit—and vegetarian dishes such as quiche Lorraine, creamy risottos, and characterful cheeses.

With vines ranging from 30 to 40 years of age, planted on the region’s Kimmeridgian marl soils, Eden marks the beginning of a journey dedicated to highlighting the unique character of individual terroirs. Domaine de la Croisée had first shared this vision with us a few years ago through Nolwenn and Matthieu. After three years of anticipation, the two young winemakers have finally unveiled the first wine in their single-terroir series: Eden, crafted from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on fossil-rich Kimmeridgian marls. Eden is a captivating Pouilly-Fumé that delights the senses with its pale golden hue and delicate aromas of flowers and ripe white fruit. A gentle swirl in the glass reveals the wine’s true character: the minerality of the oyster fossil-rich soils shines through on the palate, creating a beautiful balance of roundness and salinity. A versatile and remarkable wine, it pairs wonderfully with fresh seafood such as oysters, scallops, and shellfish, as well as creamy goat’s, sheep’s, or cow’s milk cheeses.
