Château Puybarbe is right in the Cotes de Bourg and boasts ancient roots.
As documented by inscriptions on the Chateau walls, “Peubarbe, Count of Savignac - Gironde 15th century”, it was originally owned by a local noble family. Grapegrowing in the Gironde estuary dates back to the Roman rule over Gaul, and winemaking has always been one of the principal commercial activities on the estate. More recently, the Orlandi family owned Chateau Puybarbe beginning in 1895, and they sold it a short time ago to its current and wine-passionate owners, Riku and Anna Väänänen
Their wines are AOC Cotes de Bourg, on the right bank in Bordeaux.
