This non-dosage Esprit de Vrigny is the fruit of a finely-balanced assemblage of the three grape varieties traditional to Champagne, selected from the vineyard parcels best displaying the mineral quality classic to the Vrigny terroir--a wine that is therefore Vrigny’s most eloquent expression.
Its leisurely, supple bead and luminous, shimmering gold appearance are classic, as is its complex, fragrant nose, redolent of apricot, prune preserves, and roasted nuts. The palate opens clean and forceful, then the breadth of Pinot Noir, the velvety smoothness of Meunier, and the citrussy notes of Chardonnay meld together in a duperb, multi-layered elegance. It rises to a spice-laced finish, infused with delightful fresh-baked bread, brioche, and vanilla bean.
